- Convert long-term global goals into clear Annual Reduction Targets, and
- Ensure organisations commit to year-on-year emission reductions, while offsetting any residual emissions responsibly.
Certify Your Organisation
Every organisation has a carbon footprint, driven by:
- Energy use,
- Mobility and transport,
- Employee commuting, and
- International business travel.
These represent Scope 1 and 2 emissions, alongside non-attributable Scope 3 emissions, all of which must be reduced each year under the Standard.
The goal is clear: to reach absolute zero (or close to zero) by 2050. Your Paris-aligned target is translated into a tailored Annual Reduction Target, based on your baseline footprint.
All steps – from reductions to residual offsetting – are independently verified by accredited certification bodies, ensuring your certification carries credibility, accountability, and trust.
Certify your Products
For many organisations – particularly production companies – the majority of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions lie not in direct operations but across the supply chain. Increasingly, focus is shifting to addressing these indirect or Scope 3 emissions. Production companies are recognising their influence and responsibility, while investors are demanding higher standards and conscious consumers are actively choosing products that respect the environment and nature.
For ambitious producers and retailers (including private labels), the Climate Activator Certification Standard offers a structured pathway to achieve a 25% reduction in product emissions by 2030. Once certified, products carry the on-pack Climate Activator label, a trusted mark of accountability and climate leadership.
Certify Your Services
Certification is not limited to products. Services can also be certified under the Climate Activator Standard. The approach depends on how your service is embedded within your organisation. Whether you provide services exclusively or as part of a broader product portfolio, the relevant criteria and targets are defined during an intake assessment.
For example, if your business provides only one service, both the organisation and the service can be certified together under the Standard.
Climate Activator Process
Achieving Climate Activator Certification follows a structured, transparent pathway designed to guide organisations, products, and services from carbon footprint calculation through to credible climate claims. The process covers five key stages—Calculation, Reduction, Offsetting, Certification, and Communication—ensuring ambitious climate action is embedded into your operations and verified through an accredited audit process.
